Debbra “Debbie” Lagene Nobles passed away on Friday, May 13, 2011 at her home in Washburn. Debbie was born on May 9, 1958 to Carl and Verlea (Nicodemus) Thomas in Hugoton, Kansas. In 1960, the family moved to Cross Hollows, where Debbie lived and attended Cassville School for twelve years, graduating in 1976. In 1980, she joined the United States Navy and was a Parachute Rigger and a 3rd Class Petty Officer. She spent most of her time served in Iceland, but also served in Spain, Italy, England, and France. She was honorably discharged in 1982 and went on to complete her nursing degree in Liberal, Kansas and becoming a LPN. Then later she went to cosmetology school and became a cosmetologist. Debbie enjoyed art, painting, and quilting, but loved doing activities outdoors and being with her family the most. Survivors include her parents, Carl and Verlea Thomas, of Washburn, Missouri; one son, Carl J. Nobles of Eden Prairie, Minnesota; one daughter, Stacy M. Tuggle of Washburn, Missouri; four grandchildren, Raven C. Youngblood, Dylan G. Youngblood, Emma Rae Nobles, and Kade Ian Nobles; two brothers, Mike Thomas, and his wife, Michelle, and Mark Thomas, and his wife, Julie, all of Exeter, Missouri; one sister, Cindy Burrows, and her husband, Buddy, of Washburn, Missouri; twenty three nieces and nephews; six great nieces and nephews, and numerous aunts and uncles. Debbie was preceded in death by a nephew, a great nephew and her grandparents. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the White Funeral Home in Cassville, Missouri. Burial will follow at the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Cassville. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 18th at the funeral home.
