Mary Rozella Decocq, age 88, of Cassville, Missouri, passed away on Friday, November 1, 2013, at Mercy Hospital in Cassville. Mrs. Decocq, daughter of Vernie and Ora (London) Cantrell was born on August 9, 1925 in Wheaton, Missouri. She graduated from Wheaton High School in 1943, and on May 29, 1944, she was united in marriage to Olan Decocq in Wheaton; he preceded her in death on November 6, 1997. In 1954 they left the Barry County area and moved to Royal Oak, Michigan, where Mr. Decocq worked for the Grand Trunk Railroad. Mrs. Decocq was a school bus driver for the Birmingham School District in Michigan, and one of her greatest joys was accompanying the children on their field trips. In 1986 they both retired and returned to Cassville.

Mrs. Decocq was always ready to lend a helping hand, and she loved to cook and bake for others in a time of need. She also enjoyed crocheting, camping, traveling, and gardening. Mrs. Decocq was a member of the Victory Baptist Church in Cassville.

Survivors include one son, Paul L. Decocq and his wife Amy, of Howell, Michigan; two daughters Carol S. Tippen, of Mannheim, Germany, and Janet K. Decocq, of Joplin, Missouri; four grandsons, Eric Fleming, Charles Decator, Alexander Webb, and Nicholas Webb; one granddaughter, Tara Fleming; one great-granddaughter Briella Weersing; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Darrell Cantrell, and one sister, Yvonne Elliot.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at the White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville, Missouri, with Pastor Russell Bishop officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 5th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
