Obituary

Alberta "Bert" Caddell, age 89 of Topeka, Ks, formerly of Shell Knob, Mo, went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 5, 2020.  Bert, the daughter of Norma (Smith) Landis, was born on April 29, 1930, in Stilwell, Ks.  She was united in marriage to Lawrence (Larry) Caddell on January 2, 1949.  Bert worked at Pritchard Construction and Graybar Electric both in the Kansas City area, as a secretary, before becoming a homemaker to her husband and five children.  During those years, she worked alongside Larry remodeling older homes and obtained her real estate license and sold real estate. The couple retired from the city life and moved to southern Missouri after purchasing a 53 acre farm.  They continued working together on their farm, serving in their church and community, singing together, and working part time in the real estate and tour business.  They owned and operated Caddell Tours for 10 years, where they met many friends and traveled throughout the United States.  Bert's most rewarding job was serving the Lord by teaching her family about Jesus, sharing the gospel, and playing the piano and organ at most of all the churches the family attended.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Shell Knob, Mo.

Bert enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing, fishing, camping, boating, and spending time with her family and friends.  She was a kind woman who shared her love of life and love for Jesus with everyone she met.  She will be truly missed.
