Anita Ruark, 74, of Purdy, Missouri, passed away on April 7, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, surrounded by her family. Born to Curtis and Anna (Bradley) Hooten on January 1, 1951, in Cassville, Missouri, Anita married Robert Howard Ruark on August 3, 1971.

Anita's family meant everything to her. She touched many lives with her kindness and strength. After losing her husband in 1996, she ensured her family's well-being with unwavering determination.

Anita was a devoted sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience. We find comfort knowing she is now with our Lord and Savior, walking in heaven.

Survivors include two sons, Jason Ruark of Joplin, Missouri, and Justin David Ruark and his wife Rachel of Cassville, Missouri; one daughter, Marlaina Reynolds of Purdy, Missouri; 15 grandchildren, Vincent Ruark, Brandon Ruark, Alanna Ruark, Seth Ruark, Brody Ruark, Nicholas Lambert, Levi (Shay)Ruark, Kyle (Savannah) Ruark, Devin (Kenna) Ruark, Sahara Stettnisch Riley Ruark, Chase Ruark, Hannah Jaques, Tricia Reynolds, Forrest Reynolds and Chelsea Reynolds; and several great grandchildren; and one sister, Reta Hooten of Purdy, Missouri.

Anita was preceded in death by her loving husband of 25 years.

There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research and entrusted to White Funeral Home and Crematory.
