Obituary

Anna Ardel Peterson (Pudge), age 93, of Shell Knob, Missouri, entered into rest on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at the Solace House of the Ozarks in Joplin, Missouri.  The daughter of Roy and Eunice (Kitts) McIntosh, Anna was born on October 25, 1928, in Norwood, Missouri.

On June 8, 1946, Anna was united in marriage to Farris Dale Peterson at the Weber House in Lebanon, Missouri; he preceded her in death in April of 1991.  Shortly after marrying, the newlyweds relocated to Waterloo, Iowa, where in 1952 they welcomed their first born, a son named Ricky Duane.  In 1955, after relocating to the Kansas City area, they had their daughter, Sharon Kay.

Anna worked in the school cafeteria for the Hickman Mills School District and continued her career as a school bus driver for R.W. Harmon & Sons Bus Company, a career she enjoyed for over forty years, with the last few years transporting children with special needs.

The family spent many years camping, fishing, and boating on Tablerock Lake, their favorite destination.

In 2004, Anna moved to Shell Knob to enjoy retirement, the lake and to be closer to her family.

Anna loved crocheting, quilting, and gardening, but most of all she loved her fur baby and companion, Bella.

Anna is survived by her son, Ricky Peterson and his wife Jeannie, of Warrensburg; her daughter, Sharon Caddell, of Shell Knob; five grandchildren, Jessi, Erick, Sara, Daniel, and Amy; nine great-grandchildren; and several other extended family members.

In addition to her parents and husband, Anna was preceded in death by three brothers; one sister; and her son-in-law, Gary Caddell.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at the Antioch Cemetery in Lebanon, Missouri.
