Obituary

Anne Clay, age 98, of Shell Knob, Missouri, went to be with her lord and savior, on Friday, September 4, 2020. Mrs. Clay was born May 19, 1922, in New York City, shortly after her parents and sisters immigrated to American from Ireland; she was the youngest daughter of John and Mary Doyle Trainor. She graduated from Cathedral Girls School in New York City. On October 3, 1943, she was united in marriage to Gale Clay at St. Albans Catholic Church, in New York City; they were married fifty-six years until his death in April of 2000. Anne was an EMT with the Meade, Kansas ambulance district for eight years, and was a devoted member of the Holy Family Catholic Church in Shell Knob. She was a beautiful, kind and gentle woman who was loved and respected by everyone who knew her.

Survivors include by her daughter, Maureen Bell and husband Randie, of Shell Knob; her son, Brian Clay and his wife Theresa, of Florence, Kansas; six grandchildren; and eleven great- grandchildren

No services are scheduled at this time.

Memorial Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society and entrusted to the White Funeral Home and Crematory, P.O. Box 890, Cassville, MO 65625.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville, Missouri.
