Betty Imogene York, age 94, of Aurora, Missouri, passed away at Aurora Nursing Center, on January 16, 2024, daughter of John Ace and Alta (Brown) Smith, Betty was born July 8, 1929, in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, and was united in marriage to Clifton Arley York on November 29, 1953. She enjoyed writing prayers and poems, preaching ministry, and sewing.

Survivors include one daughter, Crystal Clark and her husband Walte of Aurora, Missouri; four grandchildren, Joshua Gillett, Jonathan Miller, Angela Bishop, and Jason Miller; 10 great grandchildren; and 6 great-great grandchildren; one sister, Jewel Stump.

Preceded in death by three brothers, Clarence (Rusty) Smith, Waco Smith, and John Curtis; two sisters, Jessie Emloe Smith, and Mary Sue Smith.

Arrangements are under the direction of White Funeral Home and Crematory in Cassville, Missouri.
