Bill Gene Burns, age 74, of Stella, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.  Mr. Burns, son of John and Maggie (Taylor) Burns, was born on June 19, 1947, in Sabetha, Kansas.  Bill was a loving man who had a huge heart that would help anyone.  Some of his favorite pastimes were watching westerns, mowing his lawn, and spending time with his significant other and life partner, Nadine.  He was a friend to many and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his significant other, Nadine Brown, of Stella; five step-children, Lisa Casper and her husband Joe, of Cassville, Lee Brown, of Goodman, Amy Brown, of Exeter, Anthony Brown and his fiancé Michelle, of Springfield, Crystal Deshazio and her husband Steven, of Exeter; eight step-grandchildren; two brothers, Danny Burns and Jerry Burns, both of Neosho; three sisters, Alice Long, of Blackwell, Oklahoma, Peggy Hasting, of Illinois, and Joyce Kramer, of Topeka, Kansas; and several nieces and nephews, including one special niece, Glenna Chandler, of Illinois.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by four brothers, Fred, Allen, Johnny and Paul; one sister, Shirley Crawford; and one nephew, Richard Burns.

A private family burial will be at Howard Cemetery in Goodman, Missouri, at a later date.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville, Missouri.
