Billy Harrington, age 71, of Jenkins, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2014, at Mercy Hospital Springfield. Mr. Harrington, son of James and Mildred (Rainbolt) Harrington, was born on October 12, 1942 in Birdtown, Arkansas. Mr. Harrington served his county in the Army during the Vietnam War and retired from the Army in October 1981. On December 24, 1990, he was united in marriage to Lorena Hendryx. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cassville.
Survivors include his wife Lorena Harrrington, of Jenkins; one son, Billy Wayne Harrington II, of Jacksonville, Arkansas; one daughter, Janesse Elaine Harrington, Conway, Arkansas; one step-son, James Maxwell, of the home; thirteen grandchildren; several great grand children; five brothers; three sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two daughters, Debbie Shanks and Tracy Marie Harrington.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 14th, at 1:00 p.m. at the White Funeral Home & Crematory with Reverend James Weaver officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Clio Cemetery, Jenkins, Missouri where full military graveside rites will be presented by the Fort Leonard Wood Military Funeral Team.
