Carl Eugene "Gene" Hill, age 72, of Berryville, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, Arkansas.  Son of Fred Hill and Lorena Joyce (Haywood) Hill (Stoops), Gene was born on June 6, 1949, in Talladega, Alabama.  He grew up in Southern California and lived there until he moved to Missouri in the 1980's with his family. He was married to Cathleen McManus in California, and they had 4 children. She preceded him in death in 2001.  On December 28, 2017, Gene was united in marriage to Vilma Lopez in Marionville, Missouri. They resided in Shell Knob before moving to Berryville, Arkansas.  In his spare time, Gene enjoyed hunting and fishing. As a pilot, he had a great passion for flying. He also had a love for the Bible and Jehovah God; he often said "I love the Kingdom!"  He frequently spoke about his beliefs to his friends and neighbors. Gene was a loving and generous man, always putting the needs of others before his own; he will be dearly missed.
