Carlos
Barrientos
Nov 4, 1966 — Aug 15, 2021
Carlos Barrientos, age 54, of Cassville, Missouri, went to be with his Lord and Savior on August 15, 2021 after a short battle with Covid Pneumonia. Carlos, was born in Villa Insurgentes, Zacatecas, Mexico on November 4, 1966, to Juan and Emilia Barrientos-Perez. He was next to the oldest of 10 children and spent much of his young life caring for others. Carlos came to the United States when he was just seventeen years old, and subsequently met his future wife when his family moved to Missouri in 1991. On May 19, 1992, he was united in marriage to Melissa Hilburn in Cassville.
Carlos accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior and friend in 2006, and wanted everyone he met to know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. He loved his family dearly and would pray over them every night. With everything that Carlos had gone through he was still very positive and would always say that it was all worth it even if one person accepted the Lord through his death. He was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Cassville. Though he was with us for a very short time, Carlos touched so many lives and left a lasting impression in so many hearts; we will all miss and love him, but we will see him again in heaven.
Survivors include his loving wife, Melissa Barrientos, of Cassville; his daughter Jessica Barrientos, of Cassville; two step-children, Sarah Morrison, of Gravatte, Arkansas and Caleb Ross of Cassville; his parents, Juan and Emilia Barrientos, of Cassville; four brothers, Gregorio, Juan, Daniel, and Melecio; five sisters, Carmen, Marissa, Maria Isabel, Marta, and Yolanda, all of the immediate area; six grandchildren, Kory, Shayden, Alexis, Kamry, Winston, Bentleigh, and a new granddaughter that will be here soon; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews that he loved very much.
Carlos was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Candalario Barrientos and Lidia Haros; and his maternal grandparents, Jose Perez and Asucion Salas.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at the White Funeral Home and Crematory in Cassville, with Pastor Kevin Hilton officiating; burial to follow at Russell Cemetery in Butterfield.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 20th at the funeral home.
