Carole Elaine Lloyd, age 81, of Exeter, Missouri, passed away on Friday, August 26, 2022, at Roaring River Health and Rehab, Cassville. Daughter of Ralph and Gladys (Thomas) Stout, Carole was born on August 21, 1941, in Palisade, Colorado. Carole graduated from Palisade High School in Palisade, Colorado.

On October 25, 1959, Carole married the love of her life, Sidney Lloyd, who preceded her in death in June of 2009. Sidney and Carole enjoyed a long and happy life together, Carole would accompany her husband on trips across the country in his semitruck.  Although shocking at first, Carole even acclimated well to ranch life with her husband, learning to nurse bottle calves and care for their chickens. Her love for the animals on their ranch would also carry over into a love for chihuahuas. In 2012, Carole moved to Exeter, Missouri, to be near her daughter.

Carole was an artist, she enjoyed painting and photography in her spare time. Carole was an incredibly lucky person, and as such, fancied playing bingo and slot machines. In her later years, Carole became quite a bold character, never mincing words or sugar-coating the truth. She was not afraid to tell you exactly what she thought and how she felt about a matter. She even became a master at hiding things she didn't want to be found.

Carole loved her family and friends dearly and was always there to show her support. A member of the Palisade Christian church, she had a huge heart and never met a stranger. Carole was a bright light in this world, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include two children, Tracy Elaine Lloyd, of Exeter, Missouri, Clinton Lee Lloyd, and his wife Shirley, of Corsicana, Texas; grandchildren, Brook Ann (Lloyd) Hoffman, and her husband Charles, Sidney Lee Lloyd, and His wife Jessica; great-grandchildren, Autumn Bell McLaughlin, Eve Michelle McLaughlin, Lincoln Lee Hoffman, Wellington Erven Lloyd; one sister, Sharon Lamb, and her husband Troy, of Montrose, Colorado; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Ralph and Gladys (Thomas) Stout, Carole was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Lloyd.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 1, 2022, at White Funeral Home & Crematory, Cassville.
