Cecil Elwood Cunningham, age 86, of Cassville, Missouri, passed away at his home on Wednesday, July 7, 2021. Mr. Cunningham, son of Frank and Ann (Thomas) Cunningham, was born on June 4, 1935, in Marshall, Missouri. Subsequent to graduating high school, Cecil joined the United States Army where he served his country proudly. Cecil was united in marriage to Audrey Unruh and to this union two children were born, Doug and Lesly. For the last several years, he and Myonza Kennedy, his significant other, spent countless hours together making lasting memories. Some of Cecil's favorite pastimes included making copper jewelry, dancing, wood working, and enjoying the outdoors. He attended Mountain Bible Church in Washburn.
Survivors include his significant other, Myonza Kennedy, of Cassville; one son, Doug Cunningham and his wife Kitt, of Valley Center; three daughters, Lesly Decker and her husband Greg Stobart, of Wichita, Kansas, Tonya McCool and her husband Kelly, of Jane, and Melissa Cox and her significant other Jeff Rawlins, of Riverton, Kansas; six grandchildren, Britt Cunningham, Amy Duron, Megan Frye, Mason Frye, Scott McCool, and Jake Wilson; three great-grandchildren, Gracia Duron, Gage Duron, and Liam Carrier; and several nieces and nephews, including Tom Titus and his wife Susan, of Pacific, Missouri, with whom Cecil spent several camping trips.
In addition to his parents, Cecil was preceded in death by two brothers; ten sisters; and his second wife, Pat Cunningham.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Roaring River State Park in Cassville, and entrusted to the White Funeral Home and Crematory, P.O. Box 890, Cassville, MO 65625.
Memorial services with military honors will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 17, 2021, at the White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville, with Pastor James Duncan officiating.
Service and cremation arrangements are under the direction of the White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville, Missouri.
