Obituary

Charles Edward Chapman was born at home on February 20, 1927, east of Jolly Mill outside Pierce City, Missouri. He went to be with Jesus Christ, our lord and savior, April 9, 2024, at age 97. He was married to Rosa Joan (beaver) of Pierce City, for 76 years.

His parents Maro and Bertha (hill) Chapman, sisters Evelyn and (Floyd) Ramsey, Juanita and (Otis) Hayes, and brothers Fred, and Bill and (Willadean) all preceded him in death.

Charlie grew up farming and moved his family to Shasta Lake in northern California, in 1950. He became a contractor who built custom homes, and returned to Pierce City, with his family to build their home on the family farm in 1994.

Surviving family members include wife Jo; son Ed (Gloria), daughter Lynn Morin; grandchildren Laura (Jason) Hensley, and Hosanna Rachel (Brian) Coleman; great-grandchildren Michael and Jacob Heeter, and Eymi Coleman. In addition to numerous nieces and nephews.

His memorial service will be at Calvary Chapel in Monett, Missouri on Tuesday, April 16th at 3:30 p.m. His final resting place will be at Jolly Bethel Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of White Funeral Home & Crematory.
