Charles Wayne
Malone, Jr.
Feb 25, 1964 — Feb 5, 2022
Charles Wayne Malone, Jr, a.k.a. Chuck, age 57, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. Son of Charles Wayne Sr. and Shirley (Riddle) Malone, Charles was born on February 25, 1964, in Cherry Point, North Carolina. On May 3, 2002, Charles married the love of his life, Teresa, in Lithia, Florida. Charles was a true southern gentleman, with all the many charms and values that title entails. He never knew a stranger and was always quick to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. For Charles, the greatest joy in life was his family, especially his grandchildren. Charles attended Johns Chapel Fundamental Methodist Church in Ash Grove, where he found peace and an even greater extended family. This sentiment is echoed within his final words to them, "It's okay, I'll see you again someday."
In addition to his wife, Teresa Malone, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, and his beloved Bitsy; Charles is survived by his six children, Wayne Malone, of Lakeland, Florida, Christopher Malone, of Lakeland, Florida, Lisa Fogleman, of Lebannon, Virginia, Shauna Jones, of Republic, Missouri, Jessica Owens, of Pierce City, Missouri, and Aubrey Boyakin, of Palmetto, Georgia; fourteen grandchildren; his father, Charles Malone, Sr. and his wife Carole, of Athens, Texas; four sisters, Anna Chorba, of Lithia, Florida, Wendy Wendt, of Olive Branch, Mississippi, Beth Bartlett, of Mulberry, Florida, and Kim Quillen, of Lexington, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews.
Charles was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Malone, and one brother, Tony Malone.
