Charles Pratt, age 84, of Purdy, Missouri, passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022, at Mercy Hospital in Cassville.  Mr. Pratt, son of John Wesley and Ida Minnie (Jones) Pratt, was born on March 22, 1937, in Granby, Missouri.  He was drafted into the United States Army where he served his country proudly.  On June 7, 1966, he was united in marriage to Charlett Terry in Grandview, Missouri; she preceded him in death on November 14, 2014.  Charles enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching westerns.

Survivors include one daughter, Shelley Newby and her husband Darwin, of Purdy; special family members, Terre and Vonda Brown, of Purdy; three brothers-in-law, Ronnie Smith and his wife Laura, of Sarcoxie, Frank Smith and his wife Jamie, of Cassville, and Fred Smith and his wife Annette, of Wentworth; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, Charles was preceded in death by three brothers, Gerald Pratt, James Pratt, and Johnny Pratt; three sisters, Martha Richardson, Geraldean Smith, and Pauline Caywood; one brother-in-law, Willard Terry; and one sister-in-law, Martha Guthrie.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville, Missouri.
