Charles Hamilton Sickles, age 89, of Seligman, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2020. Mr. Sickles, son of Charles and Goldie Sickles, was born on August 13, 1931, in Elizabeth, Pennsylvania. On September 7, 1952, he was united in marriage to Norma Barnett in Canton, Ohio; she preceded him in death on July 24, 2013. Mr. Sickles worked several jobs throughout his life, including a journeyman meat cutter, an employee at Union Rock in Phoenix, Arizona, a bus driver for the Rogers Arkansas School District, and housekeeping supervisor at St. Mary's Hospital in Rogers, Arkansas. Charles was a God fearing man who loved the Lord and was always praying for his family, friends, and for the needs of others; he attended Corinth Baptist Church in Cassville. He had a huge heart, was very generous, and would always put others before himself. Charles enjoyed gardening, watching the Atlanta Braves and Diamondback baseball and loved spending time with his family. He played an important part in so many lives and will be greatly missed.
Survivors include one son, Bill Sickles and his wife Lisa, of Washburn; three daughters, Susan Pifer and her husband Steve, of Garfield, Arkansas, and Shelly Wallace and her husband Marty, and Kathy Still and her husband Paul, all of Seligman; twelve grandchildren, Bryan Ennes, Derrick Ennes, Austin Ennes, Tommy Sickles, Travis Sickles, Tyler Wallace, Johnathon Wolf, Emily Wolf, Jacob Wolf, Lilly Wolf, Eithan Still, and Evan Still; four great-grandchildren, Evan Ennes, Brayden Ennes, Whitney Schumacker, and Harper Wallace; two brothers, Cliff Sickles and his wife Donna, of Vancouver, Washington, and Karl Sickles and his significant other Tina, of Phoenix, Arizona; two sisters, Lajean Simington, of Glendale, Arizona, and AnnaMae Cummins, of Hilliard, Ohio; his sister in-law, Anita Barnett, of Economy, Pennsylvania; several nieces and nephew; and special family friend and caregiver, Nancy Skinkis.
In addition to his parents and wife, Charles was preceded in death by an one infant daughter, a brother, Howard Sickles; two sisters, Hazel Kent and Betty Grossenbacher; and brother in-law, Dave Barnett.
Memorial services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 15, 2020, at the Corinth Baptist Church in Cassville with Pastor Donnie Spears and Pastor Glen Erwin officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the church.
Service and cremation arrangements are under the direction of the White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville, Missouri.
