Obituary

Clyde Walker Davis, age 81, of Marionville, Missouri, formerly of Cassville, passed away at his home on Tuesday, February 1, 2022.  Mr. Davis, son of David and Lucy (Matthews) Davis, was born on May 25, 1940, in Smithdale, Mississippi.  Clyde was a proud member of the Army National Guard, learning many skills that helped him throughout life such as that of being a heavy equipment operator, and went on to work many years for the County of Orange California until his retirement. Upon moving to Cassville, Missouri, he started C & J Prop Repair, making many lasting friendships throughout the years.  On July 2, 1960, he married the love of his life, Jean Ann Wade; she survives.

Clyde was a devout Christian who loved the Lord and served Him daily; he was saved in December of 1972.  He was a member of Chapel of Grace Church in Monett and was a past member of the First Christian Church in Cassville.  Clyde loved to travel, especially to see his daughter Kerri and family in California, enjoyed gardening, and golfing.  Clyde's family was always very important to him, always putting them first and was very proud of all their achievements.  He was a dear friend to so many, touching many lives throughout his life, and will be greatly missed.

Additional survivors include one daughter, Kerri Michelle Poss and her husband Douglas, of Riverside, California; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one brother, Roy Davis, of Crystal Springs, Mississippi; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Clyde was preceded in death by one daughter, Kimberly Jean Davis-Ramos; one great-granddaughter, Jude K Williams; five brothers; and one sister.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at Chapel of Grace Church in Monett, Missouri.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of White Funeral Home & Crematory, Cassville, Missouri.
