Cynthia "Cindy" Marie Burton, age 56, of Cassville, Missouri, formerly of Bonne Terre, Missouri, passed away surrounded by family and friends. Mrs. Burton, daughter of Nelson and Barbara (McFerron) Travers, was born on February 27, 1964, in St. Louis. Upon graduating high school, she went on to receive her education at Meramec Community College in Kirkwood, where she played softball and competed for a national title. On Jun 2, 1995, she was united in marriage to Roy Burton in St. Louis.
Cindy loved the outdoors and being on the water, besides traveling, driving her Master Craft was her favorite thing to do. She made countless memories with family and friends pulling them on tubes, wake boards and skiing. She had a passion for people, animals, and living life to the fullest. She knew how to have a good time. Cindy loved to entertain; she had a warm smile, a special giggle that was infectious and will never be forgotten. She was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, St. Louis Blues, and Kansas City Chiefs. Cindy was a dear friend to so many and touched so many lives in her short time here, she will be deeply missed.
Survivors include her husband, Roy Burton, Sr., of Cassville; one son, Roy Burton, Jr. and his wife Brandy, of Marshfield; one daughter, Suzette Yount and her husband Mike, of Potosi; five grandchildren; her two golden retrievers who meant the world to her, Bow and Arrow; one brother, Jeff Travers and his wife Debbie, of Chesterfield; one sister, Diane Gray and her husband John, of St. Peters; several nieces, nephews, cousins; and special friends who became her family which include the Kirks, Edwards, Turners, Cieslinskis, and Everetts.
Cindy was preceded in death by her parents and a nephew.
No services are scheduled at this time.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children in St. Louis and entrusted to the White Funeral Home and Crematory, P.O. Box 890, Cassville, MO 65625.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville, Missouri.
