Dennis C. Johnson, age 75, of Bentonville, Arkansas, passed away on January 11, 2024. Dennis was born on February 15, 1948, in Alton, Illinois to Carl and Juanita (Shaw) Johnson. He graduated with honors from Alton Senior High School in 1966.

Survivors include one son, Scott Johnson, of Bentonville, Arkansas; one daughter, Anna (Darrel) Watson, of Rocky Comfort; five grandchildren, Ashley (Rusty) Thompson, Jake Robinson, Jennifer (Rob) Sizemore, Nelson (Jacelyn) Watson, and Cody Watson; six great-grandchildren, Ty, Trey, Jack, Bo, Wade, and Tatum; his sister, Sharon Kitzmiller of Frederick, Maryland; two nephews, Robert Kitzmiller, Ronald Kitzmiller, and niece Shari Hames.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Gary Johnson.

Dennis spent many years working in the glass manufacturing industry. He also served in the Air National Guard Reserves in Syracuse, New York, and Springfield, Illinois, and was the owner of Alton Road Cafeteria in Carlinville, Illinois. Later, he retired from the Arkansas Department of Transportation.

Dennis enjoyed owning classic cars, motorcycles and piloting his small aircraft. He loved recreational boating, camping, and travelling in his RV with family and friends. Dennis loved his dogs Sammy and Joe.

Arrangements are under the direction of White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville, Missouri. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Bethalto, Illinois.
