Obituary

Donald E. Skinner, age 82, of Cassville, Missouri, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Donald was born on February 21, 1943, in Hutchinson, Kansas, to Neal and Ruth (Ranson) Skinner. He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1964 to 1966.

On April 29, 1966, Donald married the love of his life Carolyn Sue Stephens-Skinner in Pasadena, California, beginning a marriage built on love, faith, and devotion.

Donald had a deep love for motorcycles and treasured time spent watching football with his son. His grandchildren were the light of his life and brought him endless joy. He also enjoyed deer hunting, but above all else, his Bible was his most prized possession. Donald loved sharing his faith and never missed an opportunity to speak with anyone in his presence about his Almighty Lord and Savior.

A man of unwavering faith, Donald was a dedicated member of Corinth Baptist Church in Cassville, Missouri, where his love for the Lord and fellowship with others was evident to all who knew him.

Donald will be remembered for his strong faith, kind spirit, and devotion to his family and church. He will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know and love him.

Survivors include, his cherished wife of 59 years Carolyn; one son Cary Skinner and his wife Kim of Springdale, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Megan and her husband Parker, and Matthew; one brother in law, Gary Stephens and his wife Vivian of Washburn, Missouri; three sister in laws, Glenda Price of Washburn, Missouri, Sandra Daniels and her husband Fred of Cassville, Missouri and Coeta Stephens of Cassville, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter Shannon.

Graveside service will be held Friday, January 16, 2026, at 1:00 pm at Washburn Prairie Cemetery in Washburn, Missouri with Pastor Donnie Spears officiating, visitation will be held two hours prior to graveside at White Funeral Home and Crematory.

Memorials may be made to Corinth Baptist Church and entrusted to White Funeral Home and Crematory.

Arrangements are under the direction of White Funeral Home and Crematory.
