Obituary

Dorothy "Dottie" Lee Coy, age 83, of Shell Knob, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly on November 1, 2021, at Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Arkansas.  Mrs. Coy, daughter of Charles and Josephine (Mueller) Brown, was born on May 31, 1938, in Franklin County, Missouri.  On October 6, 1956, she was united in marriage to William "Bill" Coy; he preceded her in death on May 2, 2014.  At the age of sixteen Dottie accepted the Lord as her Savior and was a faithful servant until He called her home.  She held several secretarial positions throughout her life as well as relocating several times with her husband throughout his career.

Dottie was a loving, precious, and selfless mother who would do anything for her children.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, watching the St. Louis Cardinals baseball, enjoyed flowers, especially Peonies, and loved her dachshund Maxwell who passed away on October 12, 2021.  Dottie was a member of the First Baptist Church in Shell Knob where she found a group of believers that she loved dearly and considered family.  In her earlier years she had enjoyed helping in the church nurseries and spending time with children.  For the last several years she volunteered at the Missouri Baptist Children's Home in Mt. Vernon.

Survivors include her three children, Charlene Parker and her fiancé Kenny Pearson, of Asheville, North Carolina, Deborah Webb and her husband Tim, of Mills River, North Carolina, and William E. Coy and his wife Loraine, of Sullivan, Missouri; five grandchildren, Michael, Cody, Dustin, Kayla, and Lacey; and five great-grandchildren, Logan, Fabe, Emily, Vera and Isabel.

In addition to her parents and husband, Dottie was preceded in death by one great-grandson, Aiden.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 6, 2021, at the First Baptist Church in Shell Knob, with Pastor Bob Gaddis officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the "Mile of Pennies" fund at the First Baptist Church and entrusted to the White Funeral Home, P.O. Box 890, Cassville, MO 65625.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville, Missouri.
