Duane (Art) Arthur Koehler, age 79, of Cassville, Missouri, passed away on Monday, July 3, 2023, at his home. Mr. Koehler son of Myril and Evelyn (Eilering) Koehler was born February 5, 1944, in Aviston, Illinois. On April 18, 1964, Duane was united in marriage to Kay Hitt, in Cassville, Missouri; she survives. Duane helped open up Jumping Jacks and worked there until they closed; he then worked at Justin Boots for 25 years before his retirement.  Duane loved to go bowling, and was extremely soft hearted; his grandchildren meant the world to him, and Duane had a special place in his heart for all animals.

Survivors include his wife, Kay of 60 years; one son, Artie Koehler, of Shell Knob, Missouri; one daughter, Brigette Cornell, of Cassville, Missouri; one brother, Bret Pokorny, of Hartland, Maine; two sisters, Vickie Weaver, of Pittsfield, Maine, and Brigette Williams, of Readfield, Maine; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Carol Dawson.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. till 4:00 p.m. at White Funeral Home and Crematory.

Memorials may be made to Haven of the Ozarks and entrusted to White Funeral Home and Crematory.
