Obituary

Dustin Scott Curtis Evans, age 36, of Cassville, Missouri, formerly of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away on August 12, 2020, due to liver failure.  Dustin was born on September 16, 1983, in Cleveland, Texas.  He was the son of Rick and Jan Evans of Shell Knob, Missouri.  Upon graduating high school, Dustin attended Rogers State University briefly, in radio broadcasting.  He later attended American Broadcasting School in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he graduated with a 4.0 grade point average.  He worked briefly for KWON radio in Bartlesville, then for Sitel call center in Bartlesville. Dustin was a die-hard Oklahoma University football fan, and loved watching all sports on tv.  He also enjoyed video gaming online, creating podcasts with his political/social justice insights, watching YouTube, and listening to radio.  Dustin had a wonderful sense of humor and was quite entertaining to be around.

Survivors include his mother, Jan Evans of Shell Knob, Missouri; one brother, Joey Evans of Tulsa, Oklahoma; four sisters, Kandi Evans of Drexel, Missouri; Dana (Evans) Bowman of Mosby, Missouri; Shelley (Evans) Johnson of Independence, Missouri; and Amanda (Evans) Younger of Cassville, Missouri; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dustin was preceded in death by his father, Rickard Curtis Evans, who passed away on August 17, 2019, one nephew, Kendall Curtis Evans, and one niece, Lacy Renee Johnston.

A private family service and memory celebration will be held in September, near Dustin's upcoming birthday.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville, Missouri.
