Obituary

Dylan Eggleston, age 3, of Seligman, Missouri, earned his angel wings on Monday, December 16, 2019, surrounded by his family at Mercy Hospital in Springfield. Dylan was born in Monett, Missouri, on December 30, 2015, son of Johnny Eggleston and Ashley Adams. He loved watching Paw Patrol, playing with his trucks, and spending time with his grandmas and his sisters. Dylan was your typical boy and never missed a chance to be outdoors. He enjoyed painting the backs of turtles and being on "HIS" mountain, being a big help by opening up gates, and playing with his dog Swiper and his cat Zipper. Dylan attended Pre-school at Southwest School where he built strong friendships with his two favorite teachers Ms. Teri Jo Shackles and Ms. Angela Pendergraft and his classmates. He touched so many lives during his short time here with his big heart and bright smile. Those who knew Dylan, even just a little, lost a shining light in their lives.

Dylan will be missed every day by his father, Johnny Eggleston; his mother, Ashley Adams; his brother and sisters, Madison Eggleston, Lyric Eggleston, Piper King, Olivia Tedford, and Parker Baker; paternal grandparents, Darren and Christy Eggleston, and Janet Brattin; maternal grandparents, J.C. and Catherine Tate, and Stephen Adams; paternal great-grandmothers, Doris Eggleston and Stephanie Lane; maternal great-grandmother, Carol Johnson; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins who all loved him dearly.

We know Dylan is now in heaven with his great-grandfathers, Johnnie Eggleston and Gary Johnson; his great-grandmother, Diane Wilson; his great-aunt, Kelley Eggleston-Brooks; and his cousin, Dillan Brooks.
