Obituary

Erik Sanchez, age 44, of Fairview, Missouri, passed away on October 25, 2026, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident outside of Granby, Missouri.

Erik was born on August 7, 1982, in Melrose Park, Illinois, to Arcadio and Elva (Nunez) Sanchez. On November 18, 2006, he married the love of his life, Rosalba Quintanilla. Together, they shared a life built on love, commitment, and the family they cherished above all else.

Erik was a man whose heart belonged to his family. His love for his wife, children, and grandson was immeasurable, and they were truly the center of his world. His children and grandson brought him a special kind of happiness that words could never fully describe. No matter what life brought his way, Erik always made sure his family came first. He was the kind of man who put the needs of the people he loved ahead of his own, and his family never had to question how much they meant to him. The love he gave so freely and the memories they shared will forever hold a special place in their hearts.

Erik enjoyed working on cars and spending time fishing, finding happiness in the things he loved and the moments he shared with those closest to him. Whether he was working with his hands or simply spending time with his family, it was the people around him who made those moments meaningful. For Erik, family was more than just a part of life; it was what life was all about.

His Catholic faith was also an important part of who Erik was. With a strong religious background, his faith was a meaningful part of his life and the foundation of the values he carried with him. His love for his family, his devotion to those closest to him, and the importance he placed on what truly matters reflected the heart of a man who valued both faith and family. As his loved ones mourn his unexpected passing, may the comfort of their faith bring them strength, and may they find peace in the hope of God's eternal love and the promise of being reunited one day.

Though Erik's passing leaves an unimaginable emptiness in the hearts of those who loved him, the love he gave, the lessons he shared, and the memories he created will never be lost. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, and a man whose family was always his greatest blessing. His life was a testament to the importance of loving deeply, standing by the people who matter most, and holding close the things that make life meaningful.

Erik will be forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten. May he rest in the loving arms of the Lord, and may perpetual light shine upon him.

Erik is survived by his loving wife Rosalba; one son, Alexander Sanchez of Wheaton, Missouri; two daughters, Catheren Sanchez and Nadia Sanchez both of Wheaton, Missouri; one grandson, Luciano Sanchez of Wheaton, Missouri; his parents Arcadio and Elva of Fairview, Missouri; two sisters Sonya Sanchez-Maldonado of Chicago, Illinois, and Diana Sanchez of Monett, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 30, 2026, at St. Edwards Catholic Church in Cassville, Missouri, with Father William Hodgson officiating. A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 29, 2026, with a rosary at 6:00 p.m. at White Funeral Home and Crematory.
