Francis Elizabeth "Liz" Wood was born on July 23, 1952, to Verla Smothers and Henry Smothers. Liz spent her childhood in Stover, Missouri with her five siblings. After graduating high school at Warrensburg, Liz went on to obtain her LPN license. Liz worked as a nurse for many years, both in nursing homes and at the hospitals in the Southwest Missouri area. She enjoyed taking care of people and gave lots of love and caring to her patients. After her retirement, she enjoyed helping out in the church and helping others in the community.

On May 28, 2024, Liz left this earthly life after a lengthy illness. She is survived by her husband, Marvin Turner, her son Richard Ramsey of Shell Knob, Jean Paul Boley of Shell Knob and Tracy Boley of Aurora, her sister, Anita Belcher, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was proceeded in death by her daughter, Paula Renee Ricketts, her parents Henry and Verla Smothers, her siblings Joyce Myers, Karen Jennings, Larry McKee, and Mary Evelyn Flagg.

A Celebration of Life will be held on June 9, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at the Cassville Senior Citizens Building located at 1111 Fair Street, Cassville, Missouri.

Arrangements are under the direction of White Funeral Home and Crematory.
