Gary G. Deditius, age 70, of Purdy, Missouri, passed away on Monday, April 2, 2018, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. Mr. Deditius, son of John and Adele (Steiner) Deditius, was born on December 30, 1947, in St. Louis. Upon graduating high school he enlisted in the United States Army where he served his country proudly during the Vietnam War. On December 18, 1979, he was united in marriage to Barbara Eller in Georgia. Mr. Deditius worked many years for Chrysler in St. Louis where he was a warehouse manager until they moved to Purdy in 1989 to make their home. There he enjoyed farming and raising cattle and chickens. He was of the Presbyterian faith

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Deditius, of Purdy; three sons, Patrick Deditius, of Purdy, David Hill and his wife Doris, of Miami, Florida and Douglas Hill and his wife Mindy, of Columbia, Missouri; seven grandchildren; and one sister, Gail Meili, of St. Louis, Missouri.

Mr. Deditius was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 8, 2018, at the White Funeral Home and Crematory in Cassville.

Burial with full military honors will be held at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri, on Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at 1:00 p.m.
