Gerald Dean Fletcher, age 90, of Cassville, Missouri, passed away peacefully at his home on September 9, 2023. Gerald, son of Howard and Zola (Cline) Fletcher, was born on September 29, 1932, in Washburn, Missouri. He was a 1950 graduate of Southwest High School, and subsequently served in the U. S. Air Force. Gerald retired from Armour-Dial, Inc. after a long successful career, receiving many awards for outstanding performance.

He married Mary Jo Owens in 1978; they were married for 44 years. Together they owned and operated many successful businesses in Southwest Missouri, including Fastrip and 4-Way Mini Mart in Cassville, and the Junction Quick Stop in Wheaton. Gerald was known for his kindness to everyone. He was a loving husband, proud father, and a cherished Papa.

Survivors include Mary Jo; one son, Terry Fletcher and his wife Emily, of Springfield; three daughters, Gerrie Fletcher, of Chesterfield, Jo Ellen Todd, and Alta Easley, both of Cassville; grandchildren, Todd Henry of Springfield, Brandy White and her husband Brian, of Tontitown, Arkansas, and Stephanie Collins and her husband Brian, of Omaha, Arkansas; great-grandchildren Malachi, Makenzi, Colton, Keston, Braelyn, Laekyn, and Elijah; and many friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two brothers, JD Fletcher and Jim Fletcher.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday September 15, at the White Funeral Home and Crematory in Cassville, Missouri with Pastor James Weaver officiating; burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Cassville. Visitation will be one hour prior to funeral at the funeral home.
