Obituary

Glen Loeppke, 95, of Shell Knob, passed away at home On September 4, 2025, and went to be with the Lord. He was born April 21, 1930, in Arlington, KS to Dorothy (Dodd) and John E. Loeppke. Preceding him in death were his parents, older sister and two younger brothers. On October 3, 1954, he was united in marriage to Roxan King. He is survived by his wife of almost 71 years and three sons, Michael Loeppke and wife Barbara of Albuquerque, NM; grandsons Glen II, Austin and wife Monique and granddaughter Katie Jamang and husband Toshi, son Chris Loeppke and wife Dianne of Hillsborough, NC; and five grandkids, CJ, and wife Macy, Sarah Loeppke, Joanna and husband Brian Blankenship, Ben Loeppke, Mary Janssen and husband Kraig, son Todd and wife Dawn of Shell Knob, MO; grandson Kevin and wife Amanda granddaughter Shannon McPherson and husband Jared. Surviving also are 14 great grandchildren.

He was a member of First Christian Church of Shell Knob where he sang bass in multiple quartets over the past 30 years. Glen grew up on a farm in central Kansas. He served two years in the army during the Korean War then went back to school to earn a degree and then worked for Sandia National Labs in Albuquerque, NM for 32 years. In retirement he and Roxan moved to Shell Knob to be by the lake and close to family where they started and ran Kings River Driving Range for about 7 years. Glen enjoyed traveling, working the land with his tractor, spending time at the family's mountain house in Northern New Mexico and fixing things. Other hobbies included woodworking, golf and spending time with the boys, their families and all the grandkids and great grandkids.

Visitation and funeral will be at First Christian Church in Shell Knob. Visitation at 10:00am, funeral at 11:00, Friday, September 12th. The service will be streamed live on the Shell Knob First Christian Church Facebook webpage.

Memorial donation in Glen's name may be made to First Christian Church or the LUC Boy's Ranch.

Arrangements are under the direction of White Funeral Home and Crematory.
