Herman Collins, age 85, of Golden, Missouri, passed away Monday, November 6, 2023, at Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Arkansas. Herman was born May 15, 1938, in Mangum, Oklahoma, the son of Jack and Velma (Thompson) Collins, who proceeded him in death.

Herman was raised in Blair, Oklahoma, before leaving and attending college, where he received his master's then his Doctorate in Education. On August 21, 1959, he was united in marriage to Ann (Brodrick) Collins who survives.  He taught at Northwest Missouri University in Maryville, Missouri for many years, first in the Industrial Arts program, then was transferred to the education department until he retired. In 1996, Herman and his wife left Maryville, and moved to Golden, Missouri. In his spare time, he really enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and bee keeping.

Survivors include one son, Keelan, of Chicago, Illinois; one daughter Georann Whitman-Russel of Springhill, Kansas; one brother Allen Collins, of Enid, Oklahoma; two sisters, Margaret Winters of Blair, Oklahoma, and Mary Cryer of Durant, Oklahoma; and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be Monday, November 13, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Viney Creek Cemetery, in Golden, Missouri.

Arrangements are under the direction of White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville, Missouri.
