Ila Mae Heob, age 88, of Shell Knob, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at Roaring River Health and Rehab in Cassville. Mrs. Heob, daughter of Luther and Martha (Rister) Ainsworth, was born on June 7, 1930, in Bismarck, Missouri. On September 4, 1949, she was united in marriage to Norvel Heob in Festus, Missouri; he preceded her in death in November of 1991. Mrs. Heob enjoyed oil painting, ceramics, and she was very active in the reading program at the Shell Knob School. Mrs. Heob was a member of Grace Community Fellowship Church in Shell Knob.

Survivors include four sons, Steven Heob and his wife Becky and David Heob, all of Shell Knob; Keith Heob and his wife Reta, of Eire, Pennsylvania, and Greg Heob, of Melborne, Florida; one daughter, Jan Freehill and her husband Jeff, of Malabar, Florida; eight grandchildren, Justin Freehill, Jessica Noll, Janna Naber, Jami Berry, Andrew Heob, Steven Heob, Benjamin Heob, and Joshua Heob; two great-grandchildren and one on the way; one sister, Virginia Casey, of Pacific, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Lowell Ainsworth.

A memorial service will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Friday, September 7, 2018, at the home of Steve and Becky located at 27624 Timber Springs Road, Shell Knob, MO, 65747.

Cremation arrangement is under the direction of the White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville, Missouri.
