Obituary

Jack E. Bleich, age 83, of Berryville, Arkansas, formerly of Golden, Missouri, passed away on Friday, February 11, 2022, at Washington Regional Hospital in Fayetteville, Arkansas.  Son of Otto and La Visa (Coleman) Bleich, Jack was born on October 11, 1938, in Maryville, Missouri.  Upon graduating high school, he enlisted in the United States Army and served his country proudly.  On May 3, 1997, Jack was untied in marriage to Virginia Ohmart in Kismet, Kansas; she preceded him in death on August 11, 2020.

Jack was a member of the First Christian Church in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, where he served as a Deacon, member on the board, and helped with the children's after school program.  In addition to traveling and camping with Virginia, Jack enjoyed golfing and mowing his yard.

Survivors include one son, J.R. Bleich, Jr., of Mississippi; one step-son, Richard Ohmart, of Independence; three step-daughters, Donna Allen, of Cassville, Lynn Killian and her husband Jerry, of Lee's Summit, and Darlene Ohmart, of Berryville, Arkansas; step-daughter in-law, Cindy Ohmart, of Kansas City, Kansas; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife, Jack was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard Bleich and Otto Bleich; and one sister, Anna Birkenholz.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 18, 2022, at the First Christian Church in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, with Pastor Mark Golaway officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the church.

Burial will be held at the Maple Hill Cemetery in Kansas City, Kansas, on Friday, February 25th at 11:00 a.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to Gideons International in memory of Jack and entrusted to the White Funeral Home and Crematory, P.O. Box 890, Cassville, MO 65625.
