James W. Ferbert, age 78, of Shell Knob, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2019, at Bentonview Health and Rehab in Monett, Missouri. Mr. Ferbert, son of George and Thelma (Coats) Ferbert, was born on February 12, 1941, in Helena, Missouri. He served his country proudly in the United States Air Force. On February 8, 2009, he was united in marriage to Dorothy Kinkle at the Assembly of God Church in Shell Knob. He was employed with TWA Airlines in Kansas City, where he was the lead mechanic for twenty-five years; he retired on November 19, 1990. Mr. Ferbert enjoyed his time as a Ham Radio Operator and attended the Bridgeway Assembly of God in Shell Knob.

Survivors include his wife Dorothy Ferbert, of Shell Knob; one step-daughter Monica McGiluray and her husband Murray, of Shell Knob; one step-grandson, Murray McGiluray II; one step-granddaughter, Katie McGiluray; three step-great-grandchildren, Desmond, Thomas, and Oliver; three brothers, Lloyd Ferbert, of St. Joseph, Wesley Ferbert, of Orange, California, and Norm Ferbert, of Woodstock; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Kenneth Ferbert, George Gerbert, and Karl Ferbert.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 22, 2019, at Lake Park Memorial Garden in Shell Knob with Pastor Lonnie Stockton officiating.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville, Missouri.
