James R. (Rob) Hinson Jr., age 49, of Cassville, Missouri, passed away at his home on Tuesday, October 13, 2020. Mr. Hinson, dear son of James R. and Ava D. (Russell) Hinson, was born on August 28, 1971, in Aransas Pass, Texas. He lived in Southeast Missouri and Midwest Texas before moving to Cassville. He graduated from Arcadia Valley High School in Ironton, Missouri and went on to spend many years working in the oil fields of Midland, Texas as a certified geologist.
Rob was a voracious reader and expert on so many subjects. He was accomplished at many things and was recently learning to garden with his mom. As a younger man, he excelled at tennis and played countless games with his family. He was a passionate lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan and wouldn't miss a game. One of his fondest memories was of time spent in South Texas boating with his daughters. He also devoted time to helping the homeless and was dedicated to helping all animals, as well. Rob was known for his quick wit and his kind and compassionate spirit. He deeply touched the hearts of so many who knew him and will be missed immensely by all.
Survivors include his parents, James and Ava Hinson, of Cassville; one son, James Robert Hinson, III, of St. Louis, MO; three daughters, Lauren Hinson, Madi Hinson, and Alicia Jones, all of Bonne Terre, MO; two sisters, Sherril Trautwein (Mark) of Valles Mines, MO and Jennifer Schiwinger (Steve) of Cape Girardeau, MO; one brother, Byron Hinson, of Cassville, MO; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and two grandnieces.
In honor of his request, no service will be held. A private family service will be held at a later date.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville, Missouri.
