Obituary

James Ervin Larson, age 92, of Seligman, Missouri, went home to be with his beloved Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, April 28, 2022, at Ashley Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Rogers, Arkansas. Son of Eddie and Ruth (Slocum) Larson, James was born on July 19, 1929, in Mound City, South Dakota.

James was an ambitious high school graduate who attended vocational school for mechanics, gaining knowledge he would put to good use working in a machine shop. James was a proud veteran who served his nation honorably in the United States Army. James married Millie Stone in the state of South Carolina, and together they would build a fulfilling and happy life; she survives.

James enjoyed gardening and spending time outdoors. He was a fan of television games shows but would never miss an opportunity to see a live show in Branson. James' greatest joy, however, was his many grandchildren. James was a good Christian man who loved and believed in God with all his heart, and he will be greatly missed.

Survivors include James' wife, Millie (Stone) Larson; six children, Daniel Larson, of Seligman, Rodney Larson of Washburn, Roger Larson of Pineville, Jody Larson and his wife Nancy, of Cassville, and Jason Larson, and his wife Christie, of Nixa; twelve grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and two sisters, Lois Fiedler of Glenham, South Dakota, and Bernice Kom of Orofino, Idaho.

In addition to his parents, Eddie and Ruth (Slocum) Larson, James was preceded in death by one son, Dennis Larson; and four sisters, Helen Shroeder, Janet Brockel, Beatrice Westphal and Phyllis Larson.

No services are scheduled at this time.  Burial will be held at the Fayetteville National Cemetery in Fayetteville, Arkansas at a later date.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville, Missouri.
