James Allen Pippin, age 78, of Seligman, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at Cassville Health Care and Rehab. Son of Normal and Helen (Smith) Pippin, James was born on February 5, 1944, at the family home in Seligman. He was a 1962 Washburn High School graduate. On November 8, 1985, he was united in marriage to Louise Gilliland in Miami, Oklahoma; she preceded him in death on October 17, 2018.
James worked at Stone Container in Rogers, Arkansas, retiring after forty years to pursue his love for farming and cattle. He never met a stranger and was always willing to help others. Some of his favorite pastimes included hunting, fishing, trading guns, and being on his tractor working on the farm. James was a dear friend to so many and will be greatly missed.
Survivors include one son, Dale Pippin, of Seligman; two daughters, Linda Harris, of Palm Coast, Florida, and Sarah Greenstreet and her husband Jason, of Neosho; son-in-law, Rudy Harris, of Cassville, who he was very close to; ten grandchildren, Goldie Applewhite and her husband Mario, of Bentonville, Arkansas, Tony Harris and his wife Ruth, of Springfield, Savannah Essary and her husband Shaun, of Cassville, Kayla Pippin and her fiancé Christian Owens, Anna Pippin, all of Joplin, Ryan Greenstreet, of Pittsburg, Kansas, Jordan Greenstreet, of Neosho, Gregory Skelton and his wife Leslie, of Little Flock, Arkansas, Chris Skelton, of Springdale, Arkansas, and Jessica Powell and her husband Richard, of Bangor, Maine; twelve great-grandchildren, Tyler Benjamin, Jazzee Applewhite, Emily Harris, Zander Harris, Spencer Essary, Sadie Essary, Calvin Owens, Miah Owens, Caleb Skelton, Alec Skelton, Cambree Powell and Kellan Powell; two brothers, Charlie Pippin and his wife Sharon, of Pea Ridge, Arkansas, and Richard Pippin, of Seligman; two sisters, Norma Tate, of Seligman, and Beverly Fine and her husband Earl, of Little Flock, Arkansas; and numerous nieces and nephew.
In addition to his parents and wife, James was preceded in death by son, Kenny Pippin; one brother, Earl Pippin; daughter-in-law, Janet Pippin; and brother-in-law, Joe Tate.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 5, 2022, at the White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville, with Pastor Richard Jones officiating. Burial to follow at King Cemetery in Seligman.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00p.m. on Sunday, December 4th at the funeral home.
