James M. Pitzaferro, age 85, of Shell Knob, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2020, at his home. Mr. Pitzaferro, son of James and Helen (Malasek) Pitzaferro, was born on August 20, 1934, in Chicago, Illinois. On October 11, 1958, he was united marriage to Madeline Esposito; she preceded him in death on July 4, 2003. He loved the outdoors and being on the lake; some of his favorite past times include fishing, boating and hunting. Mr. Pitzaferro was very active with the Shell Knob Senior Center where he helped organized trips and many friendships were made. He was a member of the Shell Knob Lions Club #10145 and the Eagles Club #4155 of Shell Knob. Mr. Pitzaferro loved spending time with his children and grandchildren any time he got the chance.

Survivors include one son, James Pitzaferro and his wife Carolyn, of Algonquin, Illinois; three daughters, Cathy Pitzaferro, of Des Plains, Illinois, Carol Laramie and her husband Ronald, of Hampshire, Illinois, and Julie Galto and her husband  James, of McHenry, Illinois; nine grandchildren, Kevin Kronforst and his wife Jackie, Kyle Kronforst, Caitlyn Kronforst, Ronald Laramie, Jr., Michael Laramie, Michael Pitzaferro, Nicole Pitzaferro, Marissa White, and Richard White; and four great-grandchildren, Carson White, Adrianna Smith, Ryan Smith and Brody Smith.

James was preceded in death his parents and wife.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville, Missouri.
