Janis Nadine Hinde, age 61, of Washburn, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2020, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.  Mrs. Hinde, daughter of Gene and Lena Fay (Smith) Henry, was born on October 30, 1958, in Monett, Missouri.  She was a 1976 high school graduate of Southwest High School, and on March 22, 1985, she was united in marriage to Jerry Hinde in Washburn.  Janis was very giving and loving, who always put others before herself; she was full of life and had a smile that would brighten any room.

She loved going to Silver Dollar City in Branson, and spending time with her grandchildren.  Janis enjoyed quilting, crocheting, and especially photography such as sunrises, sunsets, and wildlife. She and Jerry enjoyed traveling together throughout the years to various places especially to see her sister in Tennessee or just a long ride on a country back road. Janis was a member of the Prairie Hill Baptist Church in Washburn, where she volunteered a lot of her time as well as many other places.  Janis never met a stranger and knew everyone; she was a friend to so many and will be greatly missed.
