Jeanne Proffitt, age 64, of Golden, Missouri, passed away at her home on Thursday, October 8, 2020. Mrs. Proffitt, daughter of Francis and Emma (Wikle) Sweet, was born on May 23, 1956, in Girad, Kansas. She graduated high school in 1974 in Pittsburg, Kansas, and then was united in marriage to Robert Proffitt on May 2, 1975. Jeanne loved to dance, enjoyed working for Silver Dollar City and previously had worked at Parson School District USD 503 in Parsons, Kansas. She was a loving mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Proffitt, of Golden; two sons, Justin Proffitt, of Kimberling City, and Heath Proffitt and his wife Bertha, of Carl Junction; five grandchildren; one great-grandson; her mother, Emma Sweet, of Golden; and one brother, Arthur "Art" Sweet, of Springhill, Kansas.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her father, and one brother, Chet Sweet.

No services are scheduled at this time.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville, Missouri.
