Jerri Lynn Taylor, age 65, of Purdy, Missouri, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, June 12, 2020. Mrs. Taylor, daughter of Junior and Norma Jean (Brown) Inman, was born on November 11, 1954, east of Purdy, and received her education from Purdy High School. She was united in marriage to Kenneth Allen on December 6, 1976, and to this union one daughter was born, Tracy Allen. On May 22, 1987, she was united in marriage to Jimmy Joe "James" Taylor at their home in Purdy. Jerri was a hard working rancher's wife who loved to farm, cross stitching, and shopping. She and Jim owned and operated a breeder hen operation for Georges Poultry for the last twenty-six years; during this time many people had the privilege of knowing her and new friendships were developed.
Jerri's family was very important to her and she enjoyed spending time with them especially her grandchildren. She had a big heart for animal including her three precious dogs, Homer, Lacey, and Rosie. Throughout the years she raised Palominos with her favorite horse being Sambo, a Black Fox Trotter. Everyone knew her as "Nanny" for she had a heart of gold, lived life to the fullest, never met a stranger, and always welcomed others with open arms. She attended Arnhart Baptist Church in Purdy.
Survivors include her husband Jimmy Taylor, of Purdy; one daughter, Tracy Church and her husband Kip, of Golden; one step-son, James Taylor, Jr. and his wife Lori, of Powder Springs, Georgia; two step-daughters, Jessica Taylor and Jay Anna Taylor, both of Maumelle, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Cordale Writer and his wife Rylee, of Monett, Frankie Martinez, of Golden, and Ann Michelle, of Powder Springs, Georgia; one great-granddaughter, Charlie Writer; three brothers, Richard Inman, Sr. and his wife Shelly, of Wheaton, Roy Inman and his wife Debra, of Pierce City, and Sam Harris and his wife Teresa, of Springfield; two sisters, Melissa Cahalan and her husband Tom, of Pierce City, and Lori Wingo and her husband Mike, of Cassville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Jerri was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Milagrosa Angelia Martinez; and one brother, Jed Inman.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17, 2020, at the White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville, with Pastor Jason Mackey officiating, with cremation to follow.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16th at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Avalon Hospice and entrusted to the White Funeral Home and Crematory, P.O. Box 890, Cassville, MO 65625.
Service arrangements and cremation are under the direction of the White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville, Missouri.
