John "JD" Brown, age 99, of Stark City, Missouri passed away on April 04, 2023, at the Missouri Veterans Home in Mount Vernon, Missouri.

JD, son of Ronel and Mabel (Pogue) Brown, was born September 03, 1923, in Ritchey, Missouri. He was a graduate of Midway High School in Stark City, Missouri, class of 1942.

On October 6, 1943 he was united in marriage to Bernice Haworth. In 1955 he was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses, attending Monett and Neosho congregations. He spent his entire life farming and loved to cut wood.

In addition to his wife Bernice, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Judith Perez;  two brothers; two sisters; and one grandson.

Survivors include two sons, David Brown, of Joplin, Missouri; Danny Brown and his wife Janice, of Lufkin, Texas; one daughter, Janice Bowers, of Neosho, Missouri; eight grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Private memorial services will be held at a later date.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville, Missouri.
