John D. Hendrix, age 45, of Washburn, passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2023, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin. He was born in Monett, to Julie Richard and Leonard Hendrix on November 30, 1977.

His family and friends will remember him as a happy-go-lucky man who loved his family, his animals, and the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and working with his hands.

He is survived by Rhonda, his loving wife of 21 years; his children, Wyatt, Kayla, and Kalleb; his mother, Julie Richard and her husband, Timothy, of the State of Maine; his father, Leonard Hendrix of Washburn; two sisters, Heather Trausch of Washburn, and Misty Hendrix-Gahagan and her husband, Marc, of Eagle Rock; and his grandmother, Olene Hendrix, of Washburn; as well as two nieces and five nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ernest "Pa" Hendrix, and Donald and Onita Buckley.
