Judith
Engelthaler
Aug 25, 1939 — Aug 30, 2024
Judith Engelthaler, age 85, of Shell Knob, passed away Monday, August 30, 2024, at Ozarks Methodist Manor in Marionville, Missouri. Mrs. Engelthaler, daughter of Vernon R Van Selow and Margretta (Anderson) Engelthaler, was born August 25, 1939, in Downers Grove, Illinois. On March 5, 1971, she was united in marriage to Don Frank Engelthaler. Judy was larger than life and loved to travel and have fun. She loved to laugh, saw the irony in life, was quick witted and had a wry sense of humor. She was a modern day "that girl" to her nieces and took them on many weekend adventures when she lived in downtown Chicago. She met the love of her life, Don, and they moved to Missouri. Judy and her late husband Don owned and operated Bass Haven in Shell Knob for many years where they made numerous friendships and memories. She grew to love the people and state and often said she'd only leave "feet first". She was greatly loved and will be missed sorely
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Pat; one niece, Deborah; one nephew, Chris; and many great nieces and nephews; her stepson, David Engelthaler; very special friends, The Trausch Family and Marina Knight-Fedak.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.
Arrangements are under the direction of White Funeral Home and Crematory in Cassville, Missouri.
