Julia S. Smith, age 75, of Cassville, passed away at her home on Sunday, July 9, 2023.  Mrs. Smith, daughter of William and Mary (Ramey) Spawr, was born on July 21, 1947, in Joplin, Missouri. She graduated from high school in Carl Junction and was united in marriage to Russell Smith; he preceded her in death in 2014. Julia worked at Walmart for 13 years.
Survivors include two sons, Russell Lee Smith, of Butterfield, and Robert D. Smith and his wife Karen, of Thornfield, Missouri; two daughters, Karissa Galardo and her husband James, of Cassville, and Deanna Brown and her husband James, of Kansas City, Kansas; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Betty Cantrell of Carthage, Missouri, Edith Rooks of Grove, Oklahoma, and Polly Mielke of Riverside, California.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 13, 2023, in Oakwood Cemetery, located south of Neosho, with Reverend Robert Smith officiating.
