Landon James Gray, age 28, of Butterfield, passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at his home in Butterfield. Landon, son of Steven and Becky Jones, was born on March 5, 1996, and was a 2014 graduate of Cassville High School; subsequently he entered the welding profession. Landon enjoyed horses and target practicing- anything involving being outdoors, and his time with his constant companion, his dog "Buddy". Landon struggled with drug addiction for many years.

Survivors include his parents, Steven and Becky Jones, of Butterfield; his paternal grandmother, Charlotte Jones of Purdy; his maternal grandmother, Patricias Ray, of Butterfield; his aunt, Shelly George, of Purdy; and several cousins, aunts, and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Harvey Ray, and his uncle, David Ray.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 11th at the White Funeral Home in Cassville, with brother Rick Cooper officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 10th at the funeral home. Burial will be at King Cemetery in Jenkins.

Memorials may be made to His House Foundation in Shell Knob and entrusted with the White Funeral Home and Crematory.
