It is with great sorrow and sadness that we lost a Christian, husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, Lanny Charles Homesley, age 77, of Cassville, Missouri, who passed away at his home on Monday, June 11, 2018. Mr. Homesley, son of Clyde and Ruby (Henbest) Homesley, was born on August 16, 1940, in Cassville. He was a 1958 Cassville High School graduate. On May 26, 1960, he was united in marriage to Mary Ruth May. Mr. Homesley enjoyed collecting and trading antiques and owned and operated Lanny's Flea Market. He worked at the Cassville Shoe factory for fourteen years, as well as rasing beef cattle. Mr. Homesley was a Christian man who loved the Lord and was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Cassville. He was also a member of the Southwest Missouri Early Days Gas Engine and Tractor Association in Republic for forty-nine years. With being born and raised in Barry County, Mr. Homesley never met a stranger and was a friend to many.

Survivors include his wife of fifty-eight years, Mary Ruth Homesley, of Cassville; one son, Timothy Homesley and his wife Michelle, of Billings; two daughters, Lisa Cutten and her husband Clay, of Rogers, Arkansas, and Sarah "Elizabeth" Cook and her husband John, of Republic; five grandchildren, Mark Cisco and his wife Brittney, of Cassville, Aaron Cisco, of Arkansas, Paul Cook, Lauren Cook, and Cierra Cook, all of Republic; one great-grandson, Levi Aaron, of Minnesota; two sisters, Jo Ann Armstrong, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Linda Porterfield, of Springfield; and several nieces, nephews, and a host of other family members who will all miss him dearly.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, James Homesley; and one sister, Janette Lane.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 23, 2018, at Victory Baptist Church in Cassville, with Pastor Russell Bishop officiating. Burial will be held at a later date at Maplewood Cemetery in Exeter.

Service arrangements and cremation are under the direction of the White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville, Missouri.
