Larry Bob McPherson, age 81, of Shell Knob, Missouri, passed away on Friday, July 15, 2022, at the Forsyth Nursing and Rehab Center. Son of John Lewis and Evorah (Boaz) McPherson, Larry was born on November 24, 1940, in Ponca City, Oklahoma.

Larry was a man who truly loved his nation, serving proudly in the United States Army from 1955-1957, as well as the United States Navy from 1957-1961. True to his Oklahoman upbringing, Larry was an Oklahoma Sooners football fan. He also loved deer hunting and fishing. Larry will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Larry is survived by three children, Sheri Huffman, of Jenks, Oklahoma, Shane McPherson, of San Diego, California, Rodney McPherson, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; two  grandsons, Brandon Dean Huffman, of Jenks, Oklahoma, and Gregory Brent Huffman, and his wife Tamra, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two great-grandchildren, Colton Dean Huffman and Harper Rose Huffman; brother, Ronald McPherson, of Norman, Oklahoma; sisters, Sandra Hare, of Norman, Oklahoma, Linda Bostwick, of Houston, Texas, and Jackie Denton, and her husband Ward, of Jacksonville, Florida.

In addition to his parents, John and Evorah McPherson, Larry was preceded in death by one daughter, Lawana Kae Mcpherson; son-in-law, Greg Huffman; brother, John McPherson; sister, Luada Sifferd; and brothers-in-law, Dan Sifferd, Bobby Hare, and Gordon Bostwick.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of White Funeral Home & Crematory, Cassville.
