Larry Gene Stephens, age 76, of Washburn, Missouri, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Monday, January 11, 2021. Mr. Stephens, son of Onza and Wanda (Pendergraft) Stephens, was born on September 30, 1944, at home in Washburn. On December 17, 1966, he was united in marriage to Coeta Schell in Washburn. Larry had a warm infectious smile and a laugh that no one will forget. He loved to fishing and would take every chance he could to be out on the water trying to get that one big catch; Larry also enjoyed gardening and building things. He had a heart of gold and would help anyone; our lives are a little richer by getting the privilege of knowing Larry, and will forever be missed.

Survivors include his loving wife of fifty-four years, Coeta Stephens, of Washburn; one daughter, Kelli Williams and her husband Robert, of Cassville; three grandchildren, Ryan Williams, Hanna Williams, and Kayla Williams; one brother, Gary Stephens and his wife Vivian, of Washburn; three sisters, Carolyn Sue Skinner and her husband Don, of Cassville, Glenda Price and her husband Jim, of Washburn, and Sandra Daniels and her husband Fred, of Cassville; and several nieces and nephews.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 15, 2021, at the Washburn Prairie Cemetery with Pastor Donnie Spears officiating.
