Larry Dale Wooten, age 74, of Hillsboro, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2018. Mr. Wooten, son of James M. and Rosa Jewell (Lauderdale) Wooten, was born on April 18, 1943, in Stella, Missouri. He was a 1960 Wheaton High School graduate. Mr. Wooten had a very strong faith in God, was a member of the Assembly of God faith, and loved to be a blessing to others and to tell of His wondrous works. He enjoyed doing ministry visitations at nursing homes, hospitals and homes. Mr. Wooten's family and friends meant the world to him and he spent as much time as possible with them; he will be deeply missed.
Survivors include three sons, Jimmy Wooten, of Imperial, Timmy Wooten and his wife Stephanie, of Lake St. Louis, and Jerry Wooten and his wife Stephanie, of Pevely; three daughters, Kathy Wooten, of High Ridge, Trisha Curtis and her husband Keith, of Des Lodge, and Master Sergeant Meaghan Bicklein, of Kaiserslautern, Germany; nineteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two brothers, Glen Wooten and his wife Sherrie, of Carthage, Kenny Wooten and his wife Sue, Ironton; four sisters, Pat Thomas, of Carthage, Ann Henson and her husband Don, of Shell Knob, Janice Bagby, of Carthage, and Irene Day and her husband DeWayne, of Exeter; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Beverly Ray; three brothers, James Lee Wooten, Don Wooten and Carroll Wooten; and two sisters, Azalee Levy and Helen Quade.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2018, at the White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville, with Pastor Brad Hudson officiating; burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery, Exeter. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 2 nd at the funeral home.
A memorial gathering will be conducted by Mahn Funeral Home at the Desoto Chapel, 900 N. Main Street, Desoto, MO 63020, on Thursday, March 1, 2018, at 6:00 p.m.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville, Missouri.
